Annual Travel Insurance Comparison Guide
Every Allianz annual plan side by side — plus the Travel Insured Annual Multi-Trip Protector — with real pricing and plain explanations.
Allianz offers three families — Premier, Executive, and Deluxe — each with different cancellation caps. All include medical, evacuation, delays, baggage, rental car, and concierge. The key difference is the per-trip cancellation limit, set at purchase.
Travel Insured's annual plan focuses on emergency protection at a low base price. Trip cancellation is an optional add-on — ideal for travelers who want year-round medical, evacuation, and baggage coverage without paying for cancellation on every trip.

How to choose between these plans
If you take multiple international trips or cruises per year and want one annual policy with cancellation included, the Allianz Premier $10K at $1,050 is the strongest all-around choice — $10,000 cancellation per trip, $500,000 evacuation, and strong baggage protection.
If you are a business traveler who uses airline miles and loyalty programs, the Executive series adds change fee and loyalty redeposit coverage that Premier does not have. Note the lower evacuation limit ($250K) vs Premier.
If you want the lowest-cost annual emergency protection and plan to buy single-trip plans for major vacations, the Travel Insured Annual at ~$94 covers medical, evacuation, baggage, and delays all year for less than any Allianz annual plan.
The Allianz Deluxe at $280 should only be considered for domestic short-haul travelers. Its $20,000 medical cap is not adequate for international travel or cruises.
- One policy covers all your trips throughout the year — no need to buy a new plan before each trip.
- Allianz covers trips up to 90 days. Travel Insured covers trips up to 45 days. Longer trips may not be fully covered.
- Allianz cancellation caps are set at purchase and apply per trip. If your cruise costs $12,000 and you chose Premier $10K, only $10,000 is covered.
- Travel Insured's base plan does not include trip cancellation — it must be added as an optional upgrade tied to each trip's cost.
- Medical and evacuation is where annual plans shine — your US health insurance will not cover you abroad.
- For any single high-cost trip — a luxury cruise, honeymoon, or group tour — a single-trip plan usually offers stronger, more tailored protection.
You take several international trips a year and want simplicity
One policy, one renewal — automatic cancellation and emergency coverage across every trip. Highest evacuation limits ($500K) and best baggage delay in the lineup.
You want strong emergency protection at the lowest annual cost
At ~$94 base, you get medical, evacuation, baggage, and delays for every trip all year. Add trip cancellation only for large prepaid vacations.
You are a business traveler who uses miles and loyalty programs
Executive plans add change fee and loyalty redeposit protection. Note the lower evacuation limit ($250K) compared to Premier if you travel internationally.
You have one large or expensive trip this year
Annual cancellation caps may not fully cover a $15,000 cruise. A single-trip plan provides full trip cost protection with benefits tailored to that specific trip.
